Indianapolis Business Journal: Redistricting Not in Taxpayers’ Interest
It would be wasteful and unnecessary to redraw the state's congressional district map six years before it's required. From the Indianapolis Business Journal: "(ReCenter Indiana president Don) Knebel and other detractors argue that the cost of a special (legislative) session and the work for redistricting is not in the interest of actual Hoosier taxpayers.
“'We’re thinking about spending money at the insistence of national political figures that has nothing to do with helping the people of Indiana ... ,' Knebel said. 'We have legislators who are doing the bidding of people other than their voters.'”
